Brent in Bloom Competition 2008
Our area has been judged 1st in the category of Neighbourhood Award in the Brent in Bloom Competition 2008!
The Brent In Bloom Neighbourhood Award is a new category in the competition. This Award is a new initiative for small, resident-led communities just starting out on the ‘greening up’ of their local areas. It rewards communities making improvements in local streets, gardens and open green spaces.
The award for first place is the Mayor's Trophy and a £100 voucher. Brent suggest the voucher is used towards some floral related project for the area - so any suggestions welcome. This award will be presented at a ceremony to be held at Brent Town Hall in November 2008 and we will be notified of the date in due course.
We must also congratulate Mr/s Quinn of Wotton Road who were awarded 2nd place in the "seasonal planting" category for their very pretty front garden and receive a prize of an £80 voucher.
Thank you to all the residents who entered, and even if you didn't, Brent took into consideration the whole area - and there is always next year.
